Sharing is caring! 535 Views 2 comments Share LocalNewsPolitics Dominica Housing Development Projects by: – June 5, 2018 Share Tweet Share This house, at Pointe Michel, was built by Sustainable Housing Limited of Barbados as part of a contract with government to provide one thousand houses here post Hurricane Maria(Press Release) In Government’s continued thrust to address the need for safe and resilient housing for families directly affected by the passage of Hurricane Maria, the Ministry of Housing and Lands in collaboration with the Montreal Management Consultants Establishment (MMCE) is funding the construction of apartment buildings around Dominica.The Official Launching Ceremony for the East Coast Housing Project will be held on Wednesday 6th June, 2018 at 4.00 p.m. at the Castle Bruce Playing Field. The project will be distributed among the following communities: Delices, La Plaine, Castle Bruce, San Sauveur and Grand Fond and will comprise a total of 330 residential units, i.e. 66 in each community. The units will be made up of one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments which will be constructed by the MMCE.Additionally, there will be the Official Launching Ceremony for the Northern Housing Project on Thursday 7th June, 2018 at 5.30 p.m. at the Georgetown Site (Main Road east of the Port Compound). This project will be made of a similar nature.The Government of Dominica is very grateful for the support and cooperation of the residents and people of Dominica who will benefit from these projects.
